Hairbangers Ball – Bad Apple Saloon: Cory, Indiana

On a hot and sticky midsummer’s eve many would want to be enjoying summer activities like swimming or the relief of good air conditioning. Yet there is an event that comes to town periodically that draws a crowd for an evening you wouldn’t want to miss. This group is the Hairbangers Ball, a Chicago-based, midwestern favorite that is known for bringing the heat. Dubbed “the Original Tribute to the 80’s” although they are not just a cover band, but a group of musicians who are truly devoted to keeping the spirit of rock and roll alive and well.

Hosted this evening by the Bad Apple Saloon in Cory, Indiana the gang consists of lead singer and guitar player Mick Jäger, Rikki Rhoads for lead guitarist and vocals, Rod Viper as bassists and vocals, Polly Pantz for vocals and keys, and Kidd Khaos on drums. All expertly decked out in glam metal glory with instruments fitted for the scene.

The medley of music they played had many crowd pleasers and something for everyone in the crowd to love. Classic hits from legends like Twisted Sister, Mötley Crüe, AC/DC, KISS, Whitesnake, and even something more off the beaten path such as Iron Maiden.
The Hairbangers Ball is truly the ultimate night of rock for any music thrill seeker. With members that deliver a headbanging performance, super interactive with the crowd, and amazing merchandise to boot there isn’t anywhere else you’d want to be when this troupe comes into town. They deliver off the chart excitability and energy that is palpable all the way to the back of a packed room. Definitely a show I can’t wait to attend again and looking forward to others joining the experience.
