Local band celebrates a big win with a VIP party and we were there
A trio from St. Louis took the top spot in Season 2 of TopGolf’s Who Will Rock You, beating out eleven other bands vying for a record deal with BMG and a $50,000 cash prize.
Hounds traveled to Nashville to compete in the battle for “today’s next supergroup”.
The show is presented by TopGolf, with Twisted Sister’s, Dee Snider, and TV host, Kerri Kasem judging the web series competition.
The finale featured the St. Louis-based band up against The Nocturnal Affair, a band hailing from Las Vegas, Nevada. Hounds received Snider’s final vote and their opponent garnered Kasem’s. This left the ultimate decision up to the audience, giving Hounds the win.
TopGolf hosted a private VIP watch party at their St. Louis location. Guests included industry types from record labels, radio, and the press, along with the band’s family and close friends.
The party commenced in the facility’s private party room which allowed easy access to the band’s private driving bays. Guests enjoyed a delightful meal spread and access to a private bar.
At 8:45, the lights dimmed and the final episode of Season 2 appeared on all 8 TV screens with performances by the remaining two bands. Upon the winning announcement, Hounds took a moment to acknowledge everyone involved in their rise to success and threw down a rockin’ set for their guests.
Congrats to the band and best wishes! Onward and upward.
