Beastie Boys team up with Spike Jonze for a 3-day event

The 3-day event will take place in Philapdelphia and New York next month

Adam “Ad-Rock” Horovitz and Michael “Mike D” Diamond have hooked up with Spike Jonze for a series of live performances.

The events entitled, “Beastie Boys As Told By Mike Diamond and Adam Horowitz,” will be directed by long-time friend and collaborator, Spike Jonze. Most publications are buzzing with speculation that the live events are somehow in support of their recently released autobiography, Beastie Boys Book. Consequence of Sound reports, however, that the group’s publicist declines to comment with regard to the upcoming shows.

“Beastie Boys Show” will premiere on April 5th at the Tower Theater in Philadelphia. Two further events are scheduled for the Kings Theatre in Brooklyn on April 8th and 9th. Tickets to the event are sold out, but we just confirmed (as of 3/18/2019 at 12:01pm CDT) that a few are available through third party outlets and the prices are currently under $100 bucks.

Spike Jonze has worked with the group for decades and is best known for directing the Beastie Boys video for “Sabotage” (1994).
